Basic Residential Program
The Basic Residential Program has become the hallmark of Brantwood’s services by providing instructional support for basic living skills and round the clock care. Designed to bridge the gap for children whose needs are not being met in their own home, traditional foster home, therapeutic foster care home, or children who have been receiving treatment in a more restrictive setting. Brantwood is able to provide basic residential services for up to 16 children between the ages of 10-16 in our Big House. Unfortunately, the children enrolled in this program have been victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. The trauma from these injustices can cause behavioral and emotional distress ranging from acting out to withdrawal. Through the Basic Program, the transformative and holistic healing process begins. We give attention to our children’s emotional, cognitive, educational, spiritual, physical and peer interactions through the use of dining hall, game rooms, therapeutic interventions and outdoor areas.
