Support

We count on the support from our local community and surrounding areas to make a difference in our ability to care for the children under our care. Philanthropy has played a pivotal role in our history as our history is constructed with a great level of generosity. Such was the case in 1928 when Arthur Pelzer built and donated to Brantwood this beautiful Antebellum home honoring his beloved granddaughter. That home has served us well along the years and serves as a keystone for our campus.

Each gift has played a part in preparing young people for their futures. Your gifts of your time, talent, and treasure demonstrate the faith you place in securing a prosperous future for our children. These gifts have served to enrich the lives and experiences of our children. Those that call us home today benefit from the benevolence of your gifts from years past.

Now, more than ever, philanthropic funding, specifically private funding, is essential to sustain our important legacy. All gifts, no matter the size, make a difference every day at Brantwood. Your gifts enable us to provide our children with an environment that is rich in opportunities; be it enrolling a child in a program to ensure employment, joining a sports team to build character and confidence, or something as simple as having sheets on their bed for the first time, your gifts allow us to reinforce love.

We take pride in the work we do for these children; they are our future; they are our past, but most importantly, they are our now. Now is the time to give. By giving now, you are saying “yes” to a child having the life they deserve. By giving now, you are paving the path to strengthen your community as these children make positive impacts in the world. Give to our children now, so that they may give to you tomorrow. The future is ours to create and we will make a positive impact.

Brantwood Children’s Home is classified as a 501 (c) 3 organization for tax purposes and all donations are tax-deductible. Brantwood is also an Alabama River Region United Way partner agency.

We accept charitable donations in many forms, including online donations, memorials and honorariums, bequests, stocks and appreciated assets, retirement assets and gifts of personal property. We are grateful for the generosity and appreciate all the individuals and organizations that bring cheer and comfort to our children.
