Gerald Jones

Executive Director
Gerald Jones was born and raised in the small town of Opp, Alabama—where sweet tea is strong and community runs deep. A proud graduate of Opp High, he earned an academic scholarship to Alabama State University, where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Gerald began his journey at Brantwood 30+ years ago as a child care worker, directly supporting youth who had experienced abuse and neglect. Over the years, he’s worn many hats, eventually becoming Executive Director in 2015—and he’s been leading with purpose ever since.
He’s the proud dad of two grown sons, Jherron and Jarrod, and even prouder granddad to three awesome grandkids. When he’s not at Brantwood or spending time with family, you’ll likely find him serving as a trustee at Ward Chapel AME Church in Prattville, Alabama.
