School Administrator

Gwendolyn-Mitchell Townsend is an educator through and through with deep Alabama roots. Born in Conecuh County, she graduated from Evergreen High and went on to earn her B.S. from Alabama State University. Gwen has spent her life shaping young minds—teaching at Conecuh County Middle for 3 years, then dedicating 28 years to Brewbaker Intermediate, and later bringing her love of learning to Brantwood.
When she’s not mentoring or teaching, Mrs. Townsend finds joy in quiet, thoughtful hobbies like gardening, quilting, playing chess, and curling up with a good book. She brings warmth, wisdom, and a steady hand to everything she does.
